[Sisa Journal e = Reporter Dong-hoon Choi] “With wearable devices developed by Mezoo, it is possible to monitor patients outside the hospital and respond promptly when issues arise.”
At the 5th Pharmaceutical & Bio International Forum (MBF 2025), hosted by Sisa Journal e on the 23rd at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Seong-pil Cho, Vice President of Mezoo, emphasized patient management solutions utilizing wearable medical devices. Mezoo is a medical device manufacturer and distributor founded in 2007 with its headquarters in Wonju, Gangwon Province.
During his lecture titled “Clinical Research Status of HiCardi-Based Wearable Patient Monitoring,” Cho presented on the diversification of medical device development and related clinical data.
Cho analyzed that due to shortages in medical personnel, healthcare services are increasingly shifting toward managing patients outside hospital settings. He explained that Mezoo has focused on technology development for nearly 20 years since its establishment in order to address this shift, ultimately leading to the development of the HiCardi solution.
HiCardi is one of Mezoo’s flagship products, capable of monitoring and analyzing patients’ biosignals and transmitting relevant information to medical staff via cloud servers. Biosignals collected through a smart patch can be viewed on a mobile-device-based SmartView interface, enabling efficient remote patient monitoring.
